The Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Mr. Samuel Nwanosike and the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Amnesty, Mr. Ken Chinda have criticised the former Leader of the State House of Assembly Hon. Chidi Lloyd for his comment on the state amnesty programme.
The former lawmaker was quoted in a television interview as saying that mopping up of arms alone will not bring the desired security to the state.
However, in their separate reactions, both Nwanosike and Chinda told Lloyd to cover his face in shame as the All Progressives Congress (APC) where he belongs is yet to show Rivers people what it has achieved, in the last two years.
They noted that the criticism by the former house majority leader will not stop the Governor from doing his best to bring peace to the state.
Chinda, particularly, said that Lloyd cannot stop Governor Wike from ensuring that peace returns to communities devastated by crises under the immediate past administration in the state.
He listed communities which are now enjoying peace under Wike’s administration to include Lewe, Bomu and others across the state.
Describing the APC as a failed party, Nwanosike, urged the former house leader to show proof of projects executed by the Federal Government in Rivers State.
