The Senior Staff Association of Communication, Transport and Corporation (SSACTAC), has rated Integrated Logistics Services (Intels) high in corporate social responsibilities.
The National President of the Association, Mohammed Yunusa who said this in an interview with newsmen shortly after a tour of the Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone, also said that Intrels has contributed so much towards the economy of the nation.
Yunusa said that Intels contributions to port development in Nigeria has susperseded that of other port concessionaries, stressing that this situation has created rivalry between Intels and others.
The President also said that the association will remain grateful to the management for its labour-friendly policies.
Meanwhile, the National President of Senior Staff Association of Communication Transport and Corporation (SSACTAC) Mohammed Yunusa has condemned the continuous diversion of oil and gas cargoes meant for Onne Port to private jetties and other ports of the country.
He said that the situation is not only illegal but sabotaging the economy of the country, adding that the country is losing huge amount of revenues from the situation.
The President urged the government to respect and implement its agreement by ensuring that all concessioners keep to their concessions agreement. He also said that SSACTAC will explore all avenues to address the issue, while campaign will be stepped-up to increase patronage of goods produced in the Oil and Gas Free Zone.
Earlier, the Public Relations Manager of the company, Mr. Isidore Sambol, said that the continuous diversions of ships meant for the Zone has robbed the company of the much needed revenues.
Mr. Sambol stressed the need for the Union to support the management in its effort to check the t4rend.
He also said that Intels will continue to improve the welfare of its employees and commended the Union for the visit.
