The Presiding Bishop of
Vineyard of the Lord Mission Port Harcourt, Rt Rev James F. Egbe has called for the reintroduction of moral instruction in schools across the country to curb the spate of moral decadence in our society.
Bishop Egbe who stated this in an interview with newsmen at the end of a 4 day Mountain Camp 2016 prayer meeting of the church also stressed the need for employment opportunities for youths in the country.
According to him, there should be incentives for the unemployed and the aged in society.
Rev Egbe decried the spate of moral decadence in the society, adding that “the sooner the government brings back moral instructors to schools, the better will be for our society”.
The clergyman also called on members of society to seek the face of God and repent from their sins, stressing that God is ready to forgive everyone of his sins.
He said that, the annual programme was aimed at bringing people to God through Christianity repentance and forgiveness of their sins.
According to him, the programme which witnessed large conversions to also saw the manifestation of the power of God through miracles, signs and wonders.
Bishop Egbe said that a number of women were blessed with fruits of the womb, the sick were healed, while demons were cast out from the afflicted.
Also speaking, the President Men Fellowship of the Church , Mr Evadir Precious Dubabomo described the programme as one of the best in the history of the church, stressing that it had broadened the spiritual mindset of many members of the church.
He also said that the programme had strengthened family ties in the church.
