The caretaker committee
chairman of Emohua Local Government Council of Rivers State, Engr. Nnamdi Abah has urged the people to eschew violence during the forth coming elections.
Addressing the people during a stakeholders meeting in the area, the council boss, said that his mission was to carry everybody along.
He regretted that some people were already predicting doom during the elections owing to the attitude of some persons and appealed to those whose stock in trade was to cause violence to desist in their interest.
Engr. Abah also pledged his readiness to work with all and sundry irrespective of political affiliations, noting that the election will come and go but Emohua will remain.
On his part, the Divisional Police Officers (DPO) incharge of Rumuji and Egbeda, Mr. Aaneche Abubakar and DSP Hassan Id appealed to all political parties and youths in the area against taking the laws into their hands.
The sector commander incharged warned against violence, saying that security agencies will use their sledge hammer on anyone found wanting.
