Cleric Defends Women’s Role In Ministry

The General Overseer of
Holy Ghost Empowered Ministry, Mummy Gift Sunday, has said that women can no longer play second fiddle in the vineyard of God.
Speaking with newsmen during the Kingdom Summit of the Ministry last Sunday, at Azuabie, Port Harcourt, Mummy Sunday said that the era when women played second     fiddle in the ministry of God was gone.     . According to her, women also have a right to propagate the gospel of Christ, noting that many women are now excelling in the work of God.
The cleric also said that the ministry in conjunction with other Christian denominations was continuously praying for a peaceful election come 2015 and advised politicians to play according to the rules to ensure a peaceful election, come next year. Mummy Sunday said that the summit, which was the third so far organised by the ministry was to win souls for Christ.
In his sermon titled, “The Ideal Kingdom,” the presiding minister of the ministry, Rev. Praise Nnabugo, described the proliferation of denominations as the greatest problems of the church ..
Rev. Nnabugo said that its condemnable for ministers of God to elevate their doctrines above that of the Bible.
The man of God who said that God’s Kingdom is the ideal, said that time has come
for people to learn how to live in the forth-coming kingdom of God.
According to him, the only way to do this was to accept Christ, stressing that the
summit was organised to prepare people on how to live in God’s kingdom.
The cleric argued that mankind had choice to either accept God or Satan but warned that both choices had consequences.     .
